Bilingual Artist Portfolio Website – Concept, Design & Build

— project 2022-2023

Problem

An independent artist needed a bilingual artist portfolio website to showcase their work and creative vision. They wanted a clean, expressive design that reflected their aesthetic without being overly commercial. The site also needed to support both Spanish and English content, with easy navigation between languages. No visual identity or site structure existed before this project.

Solution

I developed the entire bilingual artist portfolio website concept, starting with a custom logo and visual direction tailored to the artist’s medium and tone. The website was designed using a builder for ease of future edits and styled entirely with custom CSS and HTML to preserve control over every detail. The layout is clean and image-forward, ensuring the work is the visual focus.

I implemented a bilingual structure using intuitive language toggles, allowing the artist to manage all content in Spanish and English from the WordPress dashboard. The result is a smooth, responsive browsing experience across devices that honors the artist’s personality and portfolio.

Result

The final bilingual artist portfolio website, SoniaMorente.com, is elegant, fully responsive, and easy for the artist to manage without technical support. It reflects the artist’s identity while providing a clear, structured way to present work, exhibitions, and written content in both languages. The client was especially pleased with the logo, visual cohesion, and simplicity of the admin experience.
